MahaJesus.com at YFC Youth Fest

One thousand young people from various cities of our country didn’t miss the opportunity to be there at ‘ZINDAGI UNLIMTED’, the ‘Youth For Christ (YFC)’s National Fest during the last week of 2010. It all happened at the St. Ursula High School Campus, Nagpur, India. Apart from significant groups from Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vizag, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore, for the first time a youth-group received special welcome from the Andaman Islands.

It was amazing to see the ‘real life’ of young people between the age group of 13-25 years. YFC’s own band ‘Vertical Reality’ took over the stage for some powerful singing, and ‘Sound of the Nations’ from Hyderabad added the icing on the cake for all music lovers. Thanks to all the supporting fans at the stage, jumping and having fun. The morning devotions were steered by Mr. Ajit Fernando from YFC, Sri Lanka. And all the interesting and ‘hot’ topics were handled by Mr. C A Benjamin from Bangalore. Every evening Mr. Benjamin  gave a challenge for each young person to choose ‘Zindagi Unlimited’.

The MahaJesus.com web portal co-sponsored this mega event with ‘Zindagi Unlimited’ T-shirts carrying its logo. Mr. Vijay Burton highlighted our online ministry to all the young people at the Fest. The MahaJesus.com team got involved in doing workshops on the topics; Net Awareness and Online Counseling during the Fest.

At the MahaJesus.com stall, the young people flocked to participate in the daily competitions. The best definition for ‘Zindagi Unlimited’, the best group picture taken at the camp and the best web site sketch were sensational competitions for youth. Besides one participant winning a music CD each day from the ‘pick of the day’, there were stickers and tattoos to be taken away for free. Thanks to many youth who gave their ideas for the kind of ministry youth website they want to see.

A unique Youth Fest it was. While the question of the next youth camp continues to keep our enthusiasm, we all need to wait and watch. But certainly we carry with us, the smiles from the new friends we made, the spirit of a youth camp and the warmth of what the Lord has done at ‘Zindagi Unlimited.’
